saw this on metafilter.

http://www.ashmol.ox.ac.uk/gri/4tut.html

all kinds of documentation on what was found when king tutankhamuns tomb was opened. some pics as well as scans of howard carters notes. theres a list of stuff that will be online eventually, including maps and sketches. fascinating stuff.

oh and dont forget this.

The Gaping Maw's Big Book of Sign Language

Riotously funny for the unoffendable. Mildly funny for the offendable.

The next Mahir/All Your Base may have arrived

This thread on an English football club's fan board started out as a simple rant by a scorned ex-girlfriend. Thanks to the global nature of the Internet, it didn't remain that way for long.

Accusations are flying about promiscuity, adultery, strains of hepatitis, goat-shagging, homosexuality, and the worst sin of all -- being a Luton fan.

Check it out here.

Peppers - online presence of the best damn hot-pepper shop I know of (home base: Rehoboth Beach, Delaware).

Hot sauces, salsas, jerk marinades, BBQ sauces, thai, curry, chutney, chili mixes, chile-marinaded vegetables, and other edibles designed to fry your taste buds beyond recognition (and a bunch more designed for mere mortals to consume).

You do, at least, show a bit of interest in the world around you. Either that, or you have enough of a sense of humor to pick some of the sillier answers on the test. Hm... I question the accuracy of this test..
