Oh no, 99% of the time. I use my laptop while sitting on a couch--if I wanted to sit at at a desk I could use either of the two desktop computers in the house. The rest of the time I'm standing in front of it at the kitchen counter, because it has a recipe on it that I've been too lazy to write out.

What's more, I frequently move standard desktop keyboards down from the desk to my lap. I find typing at lap height much more comfortable than on a desk.
