I read this thread title this morning:
The continuing Cellar Car saga

And I thought of this:
The continuing Cellar Carl Sagan

And I thought of the Carl Sagan auto-tuned song "A Glorious Dawn" (see here on Youtube).

And I left to drive to work. I was in a 30 mile-per-hour zone, and another car was behind me, right on my bumper. I thought of the comedy routine, "everyone that drives slower than you is a moron, and everyone that drives faster than you is a maniac" or something to that effect.

Now, I wondered, what was the name of the comedian who did that routine? I couldn't remeber. I could see is face. I knew that he had an album called Toledo Window Box. I knew exactly who the guy is, I just couldn't remember his name.

Because all I could think of, when I tried to remember his name, was Carl Sagan.

I knew, this must have something to do with it. I knew that I would understand, once I had remembered. And I did. And it all made perfect sense.

Funny thing about the human brain. We get attached to some object. We know we are attached and after a certain amount of time forget why we are attached.

I have to old 8oz cups. One has a slight chip in the rim. I keep them away from the other cups. They are my special cups I use for snacks or ice cream. Last night, I was eating a snack out of one of them, wondering why I had such an attachment for them. I then remembered they were the last cups my grandmother used, mainly for water. She kept them next to her sink in the retirement home.

It's funny how the human brain works.

Of course, no one stole those, like they did her wedding bands and switching out her microwave when she fell and was taken to the hospital never to return. She was in her 90's.

Not so funny.

I am able to dissect my early-morning dreams like owl pellets.
They contain something which I have done, thought of, read or watched the previous day. Sometimes it's quite scrambled, and it's never in context, but I can work out where 90% of the main contents/ themes are from.

Not so much for real night-time dreams.

This morning I dreamed I was drinking a collegue's really expensive birthday champagne, straight from the bottle, because she is teetotal and gave it to me. It connected with Limey's suggestion that there should be a really good adult soft drink, which I was thinking of before I went to bed, pondering on flavours. Also that the staffroom polished off a birthday cake brought into work from a teacher without a sweet tooth.

I also dreamed Mum was questioning what I have in my wardrobe, asking about my clothes - she said I had a whole new set of clothes and she wondered where they came from given I have so little money. The guilt comes from the fact I hid the empty bottles of wine I won at the May Fayre in there. The rest comes from her asking me personal questions yesterday (about ladies' issues) AND a walking to work daydream about winning money and not telling anyone AND the fact I wore a skirt she hadn't seen before to school at the beginning of the week.

You see. It's easy to tease apart. It just has it's own logic.

Yeah, it was quite a find. I bargained with the lady a little...she tried to guilt me by saying she could sell the individual pieces for 10 bucks a piece on Ebay, and I suggested she do that. She ended up settling on 20.
