How did Banana Lady get on Monster? Did she manage to get a flight in the end?

you know, what's scorching our groove right now is that after all the fixing and shit we did, none of them thought to call us when she was safely in Manchester. Worried out of our minds because she hadn't called but not wanting to be intrusive -especially at crucial times, we finally called her cellphone about an hour after she was supposed to be there and got no answer, so then we got really worried and called my sister to see if they knew what was going on, and apparently she'd been there for hours and they were well stuck into the wine. We know, sometimes the relief of being safe overwhelms the capacity to realise that other people need to know it too. But come on ...into the wine?

So here's what we're thinking tomorrow. She is due at Detroit at 5:15. Usually takes about 30 minutes to clear custioms and immigration -even at Christmas. We have to be at a hockey game 30 mintes away at 6:30 for a 7:15 face off. logic says, it's cutting it too fine, especially at this time of year... that time of day..... but logic has done us no fucking good whatsoever with this trip, so with thinking, let's just go with it!

Well when she finally gets here, tell her dozens of people were worried about her, and wish her a Merry Christmas.

Well the flight she's supposed to be on is mid-air and we haven't heard that she's not on it...... fingers crossed and thanks for all the good wishes.....

Now, how to get the boy to the hockey game at roughly the same time, on the worst freeway in the state on the busiest travel night, when both travellers require oodles of luggage space and only one car has that capacity....?

You've got a chicken, a sack of feed, and a fox...

put the feed in the chicken, put the chicken in the fox, put the fox on the plane, one trip, easy peasy.

omg I've just seen the traffic! I think we might've needed to leave yesterday! Flight due to touch down in 45 minutes. I think plan will depend on when it lands, but probably will involve shoving goalie and his gear and his dad into tiny car and sending them off two hours in advance of game for "40 minute" journey, rest of us in big car to airport same time, then up the dreaded I275 to the game......
