Only 18 minutes left til I'm logged out so I can't respond in detail.

But hang in there Brianna.

Just because you're feeling sad does not mean you aren't doing well. In fact look at what you are already achieving in spite of how you are feeling? You may think you're your own worst enemy but you are out there LIVING. If you were in bed with yesterday's newspapers you'd have a lot more to beat yourself up about.

And those kids that roll their eyes are putting on a show when they probably don't have an opinion about you one way or another. They are trying to shore up their own confidence & sense of belonging by identifying you as different in order to promote the fact that they are the same. Just pity them for their herd instinct & keep your chin up.

Keep moving forwards.

Any other contributions? Let's get weird. I have a feeling it will make Brianna feel better.

There is no actual valdidating research.

It seems like it helps.

Anecdotal evidence is all they got.

Here. Let me wave my fingers in front of your face for a few minutes. We're not going to discuss anything that has ever happened to you in your life. Here, don't you feel much better now? That will be $500.

The mildly anxious can show some improvement.

Watch your daughter be murdered and raped? That's going to take a while to get through. And the finger waggling ain't going to do it.

That's what I thought, too. But the link goes to a site about "Seasonal Affective Disorder (SADD)." No mention of what the second D stands for on the site.

I just got a new organic hippie catalog (Gaiam) and I think it had a portable, hand-held S.A.D. light so you could refresh your orgones or whatever it does wherever you are ...

Seasonal Affective Depressioin Disorder

Even if one deals with depression medically, one still has to deal with one's issues.

This seems like good advice to me. At the very least express it through any (non-verbal) artistic medium of your choice. You will feel the better for it. Or just have a good to get it out of your system.
And I agree with everyone else about the of the younger students, they're just expressing their own insecurities. Hang in there, Bri.

Yes. Another point is that, some young students roll their eyes, and some of the quiet ones think, "Now that's a MILF and she's smart too." Don't assume everyone thinks the same. Why not think that some of them like you to be there? Why not?
