I saw some clips from the 80's late night news show, NBC Overnight on YouTube recently. For those of you too young or too old to recall, it used to come on right after Letterman in 82/83. It was, hands down, the best news show to ever have been televised.
After watching those clips a couple of weeks ago, I Googled Bill Schechner, one of the hosts (along with Linda Ellerbee), and found that he worked for a CBS affililate in the Northwest. I emailed him and told him thanks for the memories, and damn if he didn't email me back.
