The alphabet is cool, but the chain carved out of the lead, joining the two pencil halves together is amazing.

Wow! The items on the website are AMAZING! I would probably go nuts with my hands being black from all the graphite, but seeing some of those, it might be worth it. I especially liked the ones with chain links in them.

Have you seen Willard Wigan's work?

He creates mini sculptures on pinheads and in the eyes of needles. Read about him an see more of his pieces here:

Rhianne, I think Wigan's work was an IOTD once upon a timne.

I love both (the OT and Willard Wigan). But when I looked at the pencils I did originally see wine bottles... I used to love it when my Dad sharpened my pencils (with a knife). My school friends mostly had Dad's who worked in offices, so my "hand-carved" pencils had great cachet.
