I'm so envious. I love Tripp Lake. (and I only got a leech on me once when I swam in it.)

Eat a Sam's Italian for me.

Looked at a map. So the lake is literally Poland Springs water?
glatt • Jul 18, 2012 8:48 pm
Yeah, growing up, one of my friends lived in Poland Springs, on a well, and he used to joke that he flushed his toilet with Poland Springs water, but he wasn't joking.

Excellent Bri, happy happy joy joy. :D

Ah, wish I could be with you! I loved my trip to Bar Harbor, although it was unfortunately hot and I had to contend with the seemingly psycho inn owner ... I do want to see more of inland Maine.

And get back to the LLBean Flagship store. That was a religious experience for me.

Home after marathon drive from Poland, Maine to Dayton, Ohio or 981 miles.

took nearly 19 hours and one flat tire in Amesbury, Mass. but we made it.

I'm wiped out and my son re-arranged my house while I was gone. AND let my plants die.

Pay back is a bitch.

My turn. I'm in Lewiston, just a stone's throw from Tripp Lake.

We're heading to Popham today, and tomorrow we're going to introduce the kids to my favorite hike in the world. Tumbledown.

I'm going through some pictures now. One of my favorite bridges in the world is this one between Orr's Island and Bailey's Island. It's just about the simplest bridge you can make and very sturdy while still allowing tidal flow between the islands. They recently put a new deck on it. There's no mortar holding the blocks together. They just rest on one another like jenga.
