Undertoad Friday Jul 7 09:10 AM7/7/2006: Mouse on frog
Happy Friday. This appealing shot has been on Yahoo!'s Most Popular for a while, easy to see why. This mouse is hitching a ride on this frog because they are both in flood waters in Lucknow, India.
Perry Winkle Friday Jul 7 09:35 AMA real life Battle-toad. Sweet.
Trilby Friday Jul 7 09:50 AMFor some reason that pic reminds me of a Disney movie...

Elspode Friday Jul 7 11:41 AMI almost sent this one to you, UT, but I figured it was so overwhelmingly the next Friday IOTD that I knew I would be one of dozens who did so.
milkfish Friday Jul 7 01:15 PMNote to any forum lurkers: unlike 'Undertoad', the handle 'Overmouse' is still available.

I don't know. The original image came from an India paper. Sometimes I think that fraud via humor is a rich and decadent media thing and not a poor media occurence. I am probably wrong. * shrug*
wolf Saturday Jul 8 02:02 AMI'm reminded of a folktale regarding a scorpion and some kind of animal capable of swimming ...
milkfish Saturday Jul 8 07:16 AMIf someone's faking this, please ask them to do one with a squirrel on the back of a moose.

I believe it's a tale about a scorpion and a wolf. The scorpion asks a wolf to take him across a river on his back. The wolf is reluctant at first but the scorpion convinces the wolf that he won't sting him because they would both die. Sure enough, halfway across the scorpion does sting him. As they both sink the wolf asks the scorpion why he did that and scorpion relpys 'I couldn't help myself. it's my nature.'
This was used as a basis for a Star Trek Voyager 2-part episode (http://www.tv.com/star-trek-voyager/...7/summary.html)
Spexxvet Saturday Jul 8 10:15 AMOk, I'll say it.
Wouldn't they be tasty wrapped together in a tortilla, with some mango salsa, sour cream, and shredded monterrey jack? That would be after you shave the little rodent, of course.

It doesn't seem like they're having much Lucknow, does it?
And are you sure the mouse isn't just getting some froggy sex on the sly?

LOL, which is why I didn't make that post last night. As soon as I read Wolf's post, the VGR ep popped in my head. I wanted to go all Chakotay and quote him...
