5/10/2002: World cup bra
A Japanese lingerie maker has created this bra to celebrate the World Cup. (Apparently here they're celebrating the World B-Cup. There, I've said it before anyone else does.)
The limited run of bras will go for $132.
As a straight male, innovative lingerie is not something I will complain about. However, the old trick of "thinking of sports" will no longer work...

From the article: Now the lingerie firm is cashing in on the nation's doomsday boom with a hi-tech bra that alerts its wearer to incoming missiles. Presented at a fashion show yesterday, the "Armageddon Bra" includes a sensor on the shoulder strap, and a control box to warn of objects falling from the skies. Ideally it should be worn without outer garments to work efficiently. |

I'm speechless at the world cup bra. (Though, like Tony, I won't go so far as to actually object to the picture, and if anybody has more they might as well post them.) I guess the logical question is, are they selling matching panties? I suppose we should be lucky nobody thought of doing this to market the NFL or the NBA. (Or did they??)
[wonders why they aren't seeing any marketing of Star Wars: Episode II lingerie.. they seem to have everything else]
