August 9, 2007: Thai police disciplined with Hello Kitty armband
Coign Thursday Aug 9 01:22 PM
And if that doesn't work they are forced to sing "I feel Pretty"
Shawnee123 Thursday Aug 9 01:23 PM
barefoot serpent Thursday Aug 9 02:12 PM
Weird Harold Thursday Aug 9 02:54 PM
They also take away their black, and white, and make them drive this for the week.
runswithknives Thursday Aug 9 03:18 PM
Medal of Honor...Hello kitty armband...
barefoot serpent Thursday Aug 9 03:21 PM
And book perps with this
Weird Harold Thursday Aug 9 04:04 PM
I'll see your laptop, and raise you an alarm clock.
Spiegelprime Thursday Aug 9 04:25 PM
And instead of the normal night-stick they have to use this....
wolf Thursday Aug 9 04:50 PM
You would think that the customary canings would be more effective.
DanaC Thursday Aug 9 04:55 PM
Hallo Spiegel nice to have you on board
Piccolo Padawan Thursday Aug 9 05:34 PM
and for those extra stubborn ones they have this...
Coign Thursday Aug 9 05:59 PM
And replace their pistols with this.
Sheldonrs Thursday Aug 9 06:06 PM
I feel like I just walked into a Kitty Porn site.
Cloud Thursday Aug 9 06:09 PM
Pink. Police. Parading.
ferkelparade Thursday Aug 9 06:55 PM
Is there any word on whether this actually works as a deterrent? I don't know about the average Thai policeman, but I'd do anything I could think of to get one of those armbands...
xoxoxoBruce Thursday Aug 9 07:24 PM
Welcome to the Cellar, runswithknives & Spiegelprime.
aero geek Friday Aug 10 11:23 PM
So what you are saying, Weird Harold, is that you consider having to drive a Ferrari 512TR for a week punishment? (OK, it's pink, but a valid assertion just the same:p )
xoxoxoBruce Saturday Aug 11 12:11 AM
Welcome to the Cellar, aero geek.
morie Saturday Aug 11 01:14 AM
I'd laugh if I saw that pink Ferrari. But I also think the Thai government is rather stupid. Wouldn't a heavy fine, jail time, a good solid beating, and / or loss of your job as a police officer be a more compelling deterrent?

Cicero Saturday Aug 11 03:49 PM
God I want that car. Haaa! Who could I really piss off in that car?!?
wolf Saturday Aug 11 04:32 PM
You'd piss me off by owning it instead of me.

DucksNuts Tuesday Aug 14 01:13 AM
Yeah, I knew wolf was mad keen on Hello Kitty, but I just .....cant....get a visual on her cruising in the little car.
Coign Tuesday Aug 14 11:31 AM
And oh ... my ... god. Following links of links. I crossed paths with this, a Hello Kitty replacement for parenting.
And that lead me straight to : http://www.kittyhell.com/
wolf Tuesday Aug 14 11:47 AM
Hummers look funny.
I want this. Fortunately it is not available in the United States.
Cicero Tuesday Aug 14 12:07 PM
I almost bought a blue hello kitty sewing machine the other day.
xoxoxoBruce Tuesday Aug 14 12:12 PM
That's a Playboy Bunny on the Hummer, not a kitty.
Weird Harold Tuesday Aug 14 08:58 PM
I saw that Hummer this morning before work. It says the Hello Kitty logo is on the driver's side, but they don't show the driver's side. It got late, and I had to go to work so, I gave up after that.
xoxoxoBruce Tuesday Aug 14 09:32 PM
The one pictured in post 28 is in England.
Coign Wednesday Aug 15 12:20 PM
According to the post I linked to, they said there was a Hello Kitty logo on the driver side door.

Happy Monkey Wednesday Aug 29 09:04 AM
Maybe those Thai police need to catch up on paperwork.
