A pretty cool picture of a missile launch from ship, and also evidence that Taiwan is practicing to defend itself, with our assistance and (apparently) ships and missiles.

It looks like a little toy rocket being launched from a small motorboat. Perhaps it's the distance at which the image was captured that makes it looks miniscule.

By the look of the missle i'd say it was a Sea-to-air, fired from a pretty small patrol craft.
