11/9/2002: Bird persuades snake

This snake got a bit too close to the mockingbird's nest July 9 near Central Park in Ormond Beach, Fla. After several attempts to discourage the snake, the mockingbird struck, lifting the snake into the air, then dropping it, sending it slithering on its way.

I had saved this one from MSNBC back when it was shown mid-summer, and was waiting for a good Friday for it, but it never reached the top of the queue for some reason.
