Popular in the 20's, people liked to pose in photographs as though they had been beheaded, in imitation of the Headless Horseman. Hence the name Horsemanning.
The modern version:

The original photo (at the top) was found at a yard sale or flea market, posted to the internet, and a new artistic form was born.
