She looks SO much like my Cali! Not just the pattern, but the way she stands.



I had another calico before her, named Penelope, who stood much more like an Egyptian cat. Maybe it is that Cali's fur is fluffier like this cat's fur. Penelope's fur was much more sleek and flat, even in winter.

Cali is one of a litter of three kittens, all different colors, born to a feral mama. My son found them in our shed when they were one or two days old. We went to the vet hospital and learned how to feed them and clean them. It was quite a family affair! My boys were in 2nd grade then.

My Lord of the Hearth is currently playing Wind Around the Feet.
Clocks went back this weekend. Little furry tummies judge time by the position of the light, so they really don't understand why dinnertime has changed.

Got an hour to go yet, Mister.

NB - next stage of the game is called Badgering. It doesn't involve badgers.
Then comes Yowling. It does involve yowling.

When Cali thinks I'm neglecting to feed her, she will head butt me. If the stool is close to the counter, she will clmb up and scoop food off the plates. She is a very bad kitty.
