April 17, 2015: Rescued baby river otter

The Wildlife Center of Texas posts this gent today on their Facebook page. They say,

Quote:
You ‘otter’ know by now that The Wildlife Center of Texas is caring for a baby North American river otter! Unfortunately this little guy was admitted severely underweight, dehydrated, and sick. After receiving fluids, veterinary care, and support from our staff and volunteers, he is now recovering and enjoying regular swims and naps. He is about 9 weeks old and would just be learning to swim at this age in the wild. Mother river otters teach their pups to swim with tough love by simply pushing them in the water. Often thought to be rodents or seals, otters are actually in the weasel family, Mustelidae. Many more updates to come! To learn more, visit www.wildlifecenteroftexas.org
I strongly feel that the "otter" - "oughta" pun should be banned worldwide at this time. We can't help ourselves but use it. We should know better.

"Can't... breathe... choking... *gurglegurg*"

Still, he's pretty cute.

Not like it is a baby, it's an Otter and too cute to eat.

The only cute part is the head, we don't eat the head. Win-win.

monster  Monday Apr 20 08:59 PM

yeah, we could used that to wet our fingers when counting money.
