May 8th, 2017: Tortured Souls
“Tortured Souls” was a catch all term for people who are diagnosed with a shitload of strange named Syndromes today.
These people have trouble adjusting to the open office corporate world, often working at Wally mart or as wait staff.
The lucky ones can squeak by as a musician or artist. Lucky or not, they’re hearing a different drummer, and perceived as
nuts by those people who are emotionally stable, sometimes known as the 1%.

Artist Statement My work reflects the weird and the creepy. I am fascinated with the dark side. In my current body of work, “Odd Things,” I’m using the ceramic medium to create my bizarre creatures. My animals have extra body parts such as multiple arms, legs, teeth and ears. Clay allows me to create what’s in my head. These animals with their small deformities help me express my sensitive side. A troubled childhood and constant “life” anxieties are all expressed in “Odd Things.” |
