Oct 4th, 2018: Queen’s Window

Someone thought Westminster Abbey should have a new stained glass window to commemorate the 65th anniversary of Queen Elizabeth’s reign.
The Very Rev. John R. Hall the dean of the church, decided to ask David Hockney to design the window because he is “the most celebrated living artist”.

Yeah, Hockney is famous, he and his partner moved from London to LA in 1964.
He heavily influenced the pop art scene, and vise versa.
He smokes pot and designed this window on his iPad… looks it.

I'll be offline for awhile, talk among yourselves.

'An abomination in the sight of the Lord' is the phrase that springs to mind.

Mr Hockney seems to be an extremely disagreeable individual.
I could forgive him that if his 'art' had some merit.
I expect my opinion will offend some, but it's just that. An opinion.

I used to think that Peter Max directed the art for the Yellow Submarine, apparently it was some guy named Heinz Edelmann. Peter Max claims the producer solicited him to work on the film, but the producer denies it. I think it's pretty obvious they hired somebody to "do a Peter Max-style" film.
