Nov 9th, 2018 : Lamb Uber
Lombardy, Italy, is up at the top of the boot, up against Switzerland.
| In the early spring shepherds drive huge flocks of livestock... sheep, mules, donkeys, and goats from the Pre-Alpine hills to the plains of Lombardy, for grazing. The newborn lambs are carried in a custom made side saddle by the donkeys, and returned to their mothers at feeding time. |
Why back to their mothers for feeding, everyone knows little lambs eat ivy.

Add a few herbs and spices and a little broth and speed the donkey up a bit (a lot) and there'll be lamb casserole on the other side of the mountains

It never really occurred to me that sheep had long ears. but look at those things.... unless someone cold crossbred them with hares to try and create instant woolly jumpers
(jumper = Brit for sweater)

Until you think about a "kettle" with a non-flat bottom.
Then it looks more like a hat or a tumor or a photoshop, but it doesn't look like a kettle anymore.
