June 23rd, 2019 : Cake

To me cake comes in two varieties, the type one like Mother used to make which tasted good, and the type twos I see that were
made to photograph, take selfies with, and post on the net.

Now how in hell can you whack that into little pieces without guilt?

The type two cakes are built, molded, sculpted, with fondant.
You can create really cool looking cakes but fondant doesn't make my brain tell my mouth to water.

Granted there are some cool looking cakes without fondant but few and far between. I've seen some that look like a type one until
they're cut when they're revealed to be a type two. Most people don't order them because that means delayed gratification.

Aliantha where are you?

I like the trains. Are the funnels ice cream cones?
My son-in-law got a AC/DC cake for his 40th. It was incredibly complex and well done, but so sweet I can still taste it.

I hadn't noticed but I think you're right, they're ice cream cones... good eye.

Yeah, but how do you bring yourself to savage that with a knife?
