Sept 5th, 2019 : Busted Bus

The Los Angeles craigslist had a beat to hell bus, parked outside over 25 years for $5500. What?!?!

Itís a 1941 Ford, 25 ft (7.62m) long, 6 ft 8 inch (2.01m) wide, and 8 ft (2.4m) high. Not very high for a bus.
The way it was kept low is a Marmon Herrington, flathead V-8, front wheel drive, with 18 inch (45.7cm) wheels.

That setup says itís a custom build but for whom. The clue is the shape of the grille, the symbol of (genuflect) Goddess Ma Bell.
Bell had a few of these built to carry Supermanís dressing rooms, to large events like state fairs or college games.

All too soon they went to military bases where men and women wanted to call Mom when their orders to ship out came down.
Thatís OK son, Mom wonít mind if you call collect, but donít talk too long as subsequent minutes arenít as profitable...uh, er...
I mean thereís a line waiting.

The link is as dead as Ma Bell is supposed to be.
AT&T is alive and greedy as ever.
