The best real estate agents in Montgomery County

Nov 19th, 2019 : MOBA

There’s an art museum in MA... well there’s a lot of art museums in MA but this one is special, unique, and different from the rest.
In the cellar of the Somerville theater, lies MOBA (the Museum of Bad Art) with it’s carefully curated collections of flea market,
garage sale, estate sale, dumpster found, and donated paintings.
I’ve used my formal training and practiced eye to chose a sample from each online galleries.

Normally 20 to 25 paintings are on display at one time, of the 700 they have in their collection.
Each piece is displayed with a written explanation of the complexities and nuances of the work.

Admission is free with the purchase of a movie ticket. MOBA is open anytime the movies are playing, although MOBA staff may
not be available. Unfortunately the Museum is closed for renovations right now but some pieces are still available online.

Some were donated by the artist or buyer not wanting to destroy the painting nor get a divorce.
Some were donated by a victim of inheritance, like as a condition to receive something good.

My choice from the sports gallery depicts a Satyr holding the catcher allowing a Red Sox runner to score.
I’ve overheard enough conversations to know many fans believe this to be true except in reality the Satyr is invisible.

This is good bad art.

And fortunately for the former owners of these paintings they're off the wall. Who knows how many marriages this museum has saved.
