Feb 29th, 2020 : Sorcerers Glass

Glass is interesting stuff we use a million ways, transport beer from the tap to our lips, keep bugs from getting in our teeth on
the highway, and keep our house snug while it lets us watch for the pizza guy.
There are thousands of artists working with glass because there are so many different ways to work with it. Stained glass,
cast glass, shaped glass, cut glass, and the guys at the fair who melt the end of a rod and create characters/creatures with the
thread of molten glass coming off the end.

Ha look at that, glass balls of yarn and knitting needles. I guess you could knit fiberglass, but not glass glass, that’s crazy talk.
I sorry I broke your glass Grandma.
That’s alright child, after lunch I’ll knit it into a doorstop.
Ha ha ha ha ha...

Quote:
One artist who’s leading the experimental movement is Seattle-based Carol Milne. She creates “knitted” glass sculptures that appear both delicate and strong.
Dayam, that must take forever to do, what’s her secret for being so prolific?

Aha, she makes the glass knit itself, she must be a Wizard.

I wonder how long it takes the train to get from Seattle to Hogwarts?
Her favorite glass is Gaffer Glass, a Lead Crystal glass from New Zealand.
New Zealand? The Shire? Gandalf?

He has crates of klein bottles under his house, and built a robot to go fetch them.
