When you blow up a photograph to life size it shows all the small details of her complexion, hair, and fabric detail.
But it’s not a photograph, it’s a painting by Leng Jun.



Jun lives in Beijing now but is recognized around the world as one of the best hyperrealistic painters.
The grunge on the inside of the denim seams blows me away.

Almost four years to the day! Perhaps a moderator can move this thread into a new forum titled: Image of the Day in History and we can go back and forth between the two threads to reduce the workload of producing a new one every single day. I'd enjoy seeing many of the old ones again, like this one, without having to hunt for them.

And deprive you of the thrill of the hunt for.... Whatever charge you get from this kind of observation?
