Beijing Daxing International Airport opened 9 months ago today.
This image is from The Blue Swan Daily. The one that really caught my attention was from an article in Architectural Digest, but the file was too big to use here. This one's still pretty big.... but it's a BIIIIG building! It's reportedly the largest single structure airport terminal building in the world.
I thoroughly recommend the AD article for more images and information about this amazing structure
The architect was Zaha Hadid, a female British-Iraqi who died in 2016 so never saw the completion of this masterpiece.

Three-quarters of a mile from the end of one arm to the end of the opposite arm.
Griff Saturday Jun 27 08:54 AMIn these new times pandemic wise, it makes you wonder about how this will go. That is huge infrastructure for a growing international connection. Of course the US, Brazil, and Russia are the current outcasts so maybe this is right on time.
