10/18/2003: Hippo mom and baby
Skunks Saturday Oct 18 02:29 PM First thing that came to mind: LUVBUGZ Saturday Oct 18 02:38 PM Very cute pic UT. Luckily hippos are herbivores, it almost looks like mama is hungry for baby hippo Stonan Saturday Oct 18 04:25 PM It always amazes me how something so small can grow into something so big, especially in only a few years... AlwaysAmazed Saturday Oct 18 04:39 PM it may only take a few years, but it takes a sh@#load of food... and as others have pointed out, hippos are vegetarian. so it takes EVEN MORE food... jeez, imagine how much manure that is... xoxoxoBruce Sunday Oct 19 02:50 AM They're herbivores but they still kill more people than any other critter in Africa. Probably because so many people travel by water in flimsy canoes. LUVBUGZ Sunday Oct 19 06:00 PM Quote:
![]() ![]() Ohh, wait, I'm thinking about the African freshwater shark (looks similar to a dolphin AND a hippo)....NEVERMIND. :p Last statement has proven to be sarcasm by snopes.com. Previous statement, as of yet, appears to be valid. slang Sunday Oct 19 06:08 PM Too much is not enough LUVBUGZ Sunday Oct 19 06:43 PM Sea Hippo, that is xoxoxoBruce Monday Oct 27 09:10 PM Just finished watching Nature on PBS. Tonights show was called "Hippo Beach". The "Beachmaster" (alpha male) climbed out of the water in the middle of the night, chased off two lionesses and munched a dead buffalo they were eating.
