4/4/2005: Electric unicycle

Huzzah innovation for this gent who has taken his own Segway design (sorta) a step further and, for $1500 in parts, designed a one-wheeled version seen here... and with his links, you can build you own, too.

but, why?

because it's COOOOOL. do you need any other reason?

Looking at how they are trying to balance themselves with their arms, I would doubt the stability claims.

having one wheel with a seat attached rammed up my ass does meet my criteria for "cool".

it was funny in B.C. but maybe not so much for real life.

Guy looks like a 'tard on that thing! You know this guy has a Star Trek novel in his back pocket, and his kids groan when he picks them up from school.

if all that was true he would post here every once in awhile.

I prefer the Maddox design improvement to the Segway - he went the other direction.

I can't find a link to the South Park episode with the "Ginger Device" transporter. It had a rather interesting seating and steering system.
