4/13/2005: Coin architecture

axlrosen sends along a very interesting set of penny architecture photos which then links to two other galleries of coin stacking wonderment.

Smart people with too much time on their hands?

And  Wednesday Apr 13 02:48 PM

I don't think I have that much money in my name, let alone in coins to stack.

capnhowdy  Wednesday Apr 13 05:48 PM

Waycool!
Any art intrigues Capnhowdy. This is proof art can be created from any material..........just add imagination, sprinkle with talent and BAM! - Art.

These images, to some, Would redefine the term: "waste of time and money".....
I bet Rainman could tell you how many coins were there at a glance. Definitely.

No it would need more of an overhang on top.

richlevy  Wednesday Apr 13 06:49 PM

Isn't there a mental condition with compulsive stacking?

The first thing I thought of when I saw this was the Monty Python sketch about "The Society for Putting Things on Top of Other Things".

xoxoxoBruce  Thursday Apr 14 09:34 PM

Welcome to the Cellar Suzz.
Did the money attract you?

Wormfood  Friday Apr 15 02:22 PM

Hmm,the last picture is made of swedish 5:s.. Big 1 1/8 inch coins.
But I don't think I try that anyway..
Even though I have a jar full of tens.. (those smaller golden things lying around on the table).
