No, stubborn people tell their husbands to stuff it, then hand them the lotion.

My point is, I could never love a man who eats pork chops for snack.

well...let's clarify. it was not pork chopS. it was pork CHOP. singular. also...it was probably not what you imagine a pork chop to be.
Jinx gets center cut pork chops....very lean white meat.....marinades them, and grills them. it's like a tiny little steak. about 4 inches by 3, and 1 inch thick. tasty as all hell and Atkins friendly.

now......time for you to make waking your husband up with you farts sound cute.

I'm waiting.

ya know...i am consciously trying not to be a prick to him. it takes a little effort...but i think the people appreciate it. I do what i do for the people, jeboo. for the people. I'm an altruist, really.

He gets out of bed with a smile on his face every day. I think that's all that matters. ;)

lumberman, I never knew you were so kind... I'm tearing up right now.

I will concede a point, and have in here, if shown facts or rational points clearly and succinctly. I will thank you for showing me the error of my ways and/or apologize for any transgression graciously.

However, if you/they just make your "point" emotionally and state that I should change because you REALLY believe something or REALLY want me to and bla..bla...bla... (your stuff that ends-up meaning you just want to, or think you should win the argument/disagreement because it is "important" to you) ain't gonna' happen.
No amount of anything is going to budge me, I have the patience of Job and will not emotionally invest no matter what you bring into it.
It has nothing to do with being stubborn.
It has to do with refusing to be manipulated and refusing to set that precedent for the future.

UT _OH I am sure I can be stubborn but that's when I think I am 100% right.

ahh the voice of reason...amen to that rk

I think one has to consider how often a person tells you they are right and you are wrong.
Is it just one issue? Everyday? Maybe there is a shared blame fresh?

I don't really think people can make blanket statements like that and be right. Somepeople just don't know how to be wrong and change for the better.

Those people I drop like a bad habit.

Really? If that was the attitude taken the "stubborn person" in question would get left behind if that was a normal response.
No sex is not an option.

No, but thank you. I just made up "diagnosis-itis" and you were the inspiration! (also roughly based on Gestalt theory.:D )

I have known bi-polar people to have severe issues with changing their stance on disagreements.
Mildly autistic individuals also, they tend to be obsessive and dislike change. Once they have an opinion they are not likely to alter it.
I have a couple in my family.

I was wrong... once.
