it figures

"...rather than actually writing my dissertation, I have instead been frakking around with poetry and in a fit of work-avoidance, have decided to build a little website for my poems."

so: i'm guessing the remainder of my 20 questions will never be answered

that's okay

i never expected the thread to see completion for reasons already stated elsewhere in-forum (lord knows: i don't wanna be 'redundant', so, i'll refrain from restating those reasons HERE)

*shrug*

Very nice Dani but I fell kind of robbed having visited your site and not being rewarded with commie manc tart booty. can you work on that?

DanaC 05-04-2009 04:42 PM

@ henry: it's only *thinks* philosophical, deep, or thought-worthy stuff I can't do unless it relates to work. The poems were mostly all written. The two done in last couple of weeks took minutes to write and flowed without a great deal of thought required. Building (god that sounds grand for what was essentially point and click with a little cut and paste) the site was a matter of a few technical actions and decisions about layout. Whole different kind of thought process, making it a break away from deep thought, not a continuation.

I fully intend to revive that thread when I am done with deadlines. I had thought I'd get a little break in between dissertation and the next three deadlines (two 4000 word essays and a short presentation) but that ain't happenin'

I apologise. I shouldn't have agreed to it, but I was still in denial at that point as to just how high the mountain I'm attempting to climb, actually is :P

@Lookout: just imagine I'm writing my poems naked...in Manchester...eating a pie.

lookout123 05-04-2009 05:25 PM

i've been doing that for quite awhile. nice to know i have permission, now.

Meursault 05-04-2009 05:41 PM

isnt that what everyone imagined?

DanaC 05-05-2009 01:42 PM

Bet you weren't thinking pie though...and if you were, I bet it was a different kind of pie...
