I just listened to this again after 30 years or whatever and discovered a 14 second lift of a Hendrix Riff starting at 1:14 (video cued) I think it's off Electric Ladyland. Now I have to find it. Pretty sure it's on 1983... (A Merman I Should Turn to Be) Nope, Wikipedia to the rescue; it is on Third Stone From the Sun. |
Ft3, how do you find a particular riff (?) via Wikipedia ?

I though maybe there was a way of copy/paste the actual sounds into Wikipedia, and it would find other pieces with identical/similar sounds (a la Google Images searches) |

I'm so glad my son is in Cub Scouts. I get to do the coolest stuff.
This was me RF yesterday, on the biggest ropes course in North America. There was a traffic jam at this particular point, so I had time to fish the cell phone out of my pocket and snap a picture. Zip lines are a blast! |
Glatt, I love your pictures. You also look happy. :D Btw, that rope course looks super fun.

We should build one here in the Cellar.

They have this really ingenious system. You have two special carabiners that "talk" to one another. When one is locked, the other is open. And you can lock the open one, which will then unlock the one that had been locked. The way you lock an open one is to clip it onto the next cable, and there is a special "key" on that cable that you press into a socket in the unlocked carabiner. It locks, the other one unlocks, and then you can remove the other one from the last cable and attach it to the new cable.
Basically, once you clip into a particular course, you can't unclip yourself until you reach the end, where there is a key that's attached to nothing. You can't defeat the system. It's idiot proof. (Although I suppose you could climb out of your harness, but it takes a couple minutes to get even that off once you get back on the ground.) I thought there would be instructors all along the way, but you are on your own. If you get into trouble, you just yell for help, and one of the staff walking around on the ground will put up an extension ladder to come get you and unlock you with one of their master keys. Out of about 40 "bridges" or zip lines I did on 4 different courses, I was only momentarily terrified 2 times. The rest were fun, and the 2 times I was terrified, I felt really good once I got past those obstacles. |

We popped 2 meth labs today. Here's a pic of me holding 200-250 grams of meth oil.
