What I had for Dinner tonight
1 Attachment(s)
This is Talapia filet cooked in orange rind, and hot pepper kernels. served with cheesy califlower "mashed potatoes" and a heaping helping of orange tinted guacamole. Curled my toes. AND it's on my diet.
edit: ok, so i was way off on how jinx cooked this, but it was friggin good, and that's what mattered. the recipe remains a secret. |
the recipe remains a secret
What? How dare you post such a thing and withold that information. Do not tease with food! Mmm... talapia is such a tasty treat, especially in a nice vodka sauce. |
i'll have to ask jinx to explain how she cooked it. I was a big help... i grated the cheese for the califlower. oh, and i did the dishes.

Hey, I saw this on 30-minute meals on the Food Network. Of course, it takes an ordinary person about 6 hours instead of 30 minutes.

Ok, I zested an orange and added the zest to some margarine. Also added a little lemon oil, hot sauce and red pepper flakes.
Put the fish on a foil covered cookie sheet and squeezed half an orange over it, salted it, then spread the orange butter on it. It was baked briefly in a very hot over (10-15 mins at 400ish) "Guac" was made with 2 avacados, 1 tomato, a bit of chopped garlic and the other half orange was queezed in. Cauliflower was steamed, goat cheese, pepper and salt were added and then I used a wand mixer to 'mash' it. |
What's for tonight? I can make it by 7:30
