Talking Marry an American!

Anybody remember the movie "Green Card" with that sexy French (yes, I know, already) actor whose name I can't think of right now? Well, the tables have turned, but, thankfully, we still have friends in northern places: http://www.marryanamerican.ca./

Gerard Depardieu. I never could figure out why people thought he was good-looking. But I've learned that my taste in men tends to run quite far off the mainstream, so who am I to say?

I don't get how/why women found him good looking either. His face is far too long, and his nose looks rather like a misshapen potato.

I suspect it has a lot more to do with his just being French.

I read the story about the movie, but not saw it. The Chinese media often use this story to say that it is not easy to get the Green Card. some friends warn me use the movie not to do the American Dream.

Wolf and Clodfobble, it's not really his looks per se, it's just this sweet, bumbling, puppy dog persona that he oftens seems to project in his films. BTW, I didn't realize that the site above had already been posted in another thread by, I think, Radar. Oh well, great minds think alike!

Shouldn't come as a surprise that that kind of personality doesn't play really well for me.

My impression has always been that if you are truly in love with the person and genuinely married to them (and not pretending to be, like in the movie "Greencard,") you will be able to pass the test pretty easily. It's just that they're really good at figuring out who's lying about their "love" just to get into the country.
