What's up with them? Why no F&S references with all the hippo pics we get? Think we too young, hip, and American?

We learned the Hippopotamus Song at school, but Flanders & Webb were of the wrong time for me.
My parents were fans of The Goons and Round the Horne, so those are the radio shows & comedy albums I grew up with. By the time I was able to choose my own "vintage" comedy I plumped for Monty Python.
