How long?
Because I'm in a humorous mood, I'm going to do a little poll here. The cutoff for the poll is Monday at midnight EDT.
How long will I be out of work this time around? While I strive to stay positive, my past unemployment periods speak for themselves. November-December 2000: 32 days June-July 2001: 37 days December 2001-February 2002: 48 days |

You're ahead of the game. The usual rule of thumb is 1 month per $10k of salary.
And based on my observations over the last 12 months, things are a little slower than they used to be...

Looks like I win my own poll.
![]() I voted for one week...and that appears to be how long my unemployment will last. I'm starting a new temp job Monday in Center City. It's not my ideal job of course, but it will do for now. |

Well, my bad.
My agency called and said the assignment won't start until Wednesday. And for whatever reason, I didn't include an option for "1-2 weeks." Therefore, those that voted for "2-4 weeks" will now be considered winners in this as well. I don't trust Stivers...they've pulled shit like this before regarding the pushback of an assignment. I'm filing for unemployment, just in case. |
