Peanut butter sold to end users has not been affected. It's peanut butter paste that has been recalled. Your skippy should be ok.

Me too. Bring on the PB&J.

Actually, since my Crohn's disease got so bad, peanut butter is a major nutrient in my diet.

Hey Dar512...I'm a fellow Crohnie! Diagnosed in Feb. of 2004.

dmg - I eat a lot of peanut butter because it's one of the things that doesn't bother me. You're not eating chunky peanut butter are you?

No, I never really liked chunky pb. I do eat nuts (mostly peanuts) now and then without too much trouble.

I've been on Humira since November because my other meds stopped working and I get very sick. So, not much bothers me now...feeling pretty good. I have a twin brother who has had CD for over 20 years. I'm a late bloomer.

They use concentrated PB as a micro-nutrient to feed children on the brink of starvation. They have such shrunken stomachs that very little can be digested, so they need a hyper-protein packed teaspoon-full.

I know it's good, powerful stuff.
Shame it's so grim :p

They can take my Marmite... just not my cheeeeeeeeese!
