Ignore List
When you put someone on your ignore list, all of their posts are replaced by the following text:
This person is on your Ignore List. Click here to read this message. I find that first sentence really redundant and annoying. So I set up my Junkbuster proxy to filter that sentence out. Still, I thought I'd voice my opinion that that first sentence should be taken out on the server side if possible. |

Do you have that many people on your ignore list? :-)
While I don't use the ignore list feature, as a design isssue I think it's important that the system explain why it's not displaying a post. There might even be more than one reason for that to happen.

Yeah, but if there's nothing in the post except for 'click here to read this post", it's pretty obvious to me that they're on my ignore list.
Plus, if you don't want text from that person bothering you, having words in bold appearing on the page all the time isn't much of a trade. They're on my Ignore List. That means I don't want to be bothered by anything in relation to them. :) |
