i've been a fan of cigars for quite a while. today was my roommates birthday to i picked up 3 padron anniversary cigars. and oh. my. god. they were awesome. anyway, i'm starting this thread to communicate with other aficionados with cigars. share with us your fav smoke......

I had a friend who used to smoke some kind of cherry type of flavoured cigars. They were pretty nice.

I don't smoke anymore, so can't add much more to this convo.

on the 26th, I'm going to the Dilworthtown Inn for our 2nd annual Cigar Dinner. My brother in law and I have the same birthday (24th) and our mutual step father in law is on the 15th. The SFiL gives this event to the BiL and I as a birthday gift. had a great time last year.

Last year it was hosted by Rocky Patel Cigars. We had a gourmet 5 course dinner, and were each given a pack of 5 premium Rocky Patel Cigars. I smoked 2 or 3 during dinner, and had some great food and beer. good times.

My absolute fav is the A. Fuente Double Chateau Fuente. There are some others. I have found the much touted Opus X brands to be a bit overrated.

Call me a wimp if you want, but my favorite cigar was always a Don Diego Playboy. I have had real Cuban cigars too and I found them to be too strong for my taste.

Of course, I am once again trying to quit smoking, so I'll stay out of here.
