National News online

Which sites do you use for your national news? I have BBC for international, annarbor.com for local (limited options, it's pretty sucky) but have yet to find a national online "paper" that I like/can tolerate -one that I can have as a tab on my homepage and won't get bombarded with crap, where I can see the stories over the ads and one without too much political bias. I'll take mediocre grammar over political editorials if I have to choose.

I hit a ton of them. I really can't say that there is one without a slant one way or the other. TheEconomist is very good though. NPR is also. MSNBC and Fox are just opposite bookends. CNN is ok...

NPR, Christian Science Monitor (yes, it's a cuckoo religion, but a decent news organization), BBC, PBS NewsHour.

Radio: NPR. My husband likes CSPAN radio, go figure.

TV: The Daily Show, NewsHour, BBC World News.

I like NPR and Google News, Politico and RCP for political news. I use to like the WSJ which I can't get anymore, so I like Financial Times.

Atlantic and Econimist for all the rest, both of which I get in the mail.
