Maine

I'm heading out to Sebago lake again this summer.

Maybe I can get my traveling companions to stop in Philly?

We're heading out July 30th....

I'm heading to Maine on Sunday. Short trip. Back on Tuesday.

I was just looking at the weather forecast and it's supposed to be 22 degrees cooler there. 75 instead of 97. Yeah!!

Yeah. Just got back last night. It was a great time.

Friday I flew up to Boston and took a commuter train to visit my brother in Gloucester. We went kayaking twice. I need to go through the pictures and maybe start a thread or something. Cool festival going on there.

Then Sunday, I went with him and his family to my cousin's 50th birthday party in NH. Lobster bake. Yum.

After that party, I caught a ride with my Dad up to their house in Maine, and helped him for a day on this crazy project on the addition that is being built onto their house. He didn't want the builders to touch this project, so I helped him out. Basically, it's radiant floor heating for a roof to melt snow.

The weather was perfect every day. It even rained the day I was helping my dad, which means the builders working on the exterior stayed home, and we could have the job site to ourselves.

nice - sounds like a good plan. I've seen them at the base of the roof, but not the whole thing. I guess up there it might be nice to have when you get a boatload of snow, eh?
OH and just noticed this -

I love Reid State Park. Did you make it to Five Islands for lobster on the dock?

we made it to five islands but no lobstah. No one in my family eats that stuff!!

I'm kinda sick today - too much sun, too much heat, too much walking (my sis is known for her death march-like agendas) and too much togetherness. Today I'm staying at the cottage and they are going to Auburn to visit relatives. It's hot here, too. Very hot. Unusual for Maine - even in august.
