Wii Games -What are your Favorites and Why?

As far as we can tell, game reviews for the Wii seems to be done by people who simply expect more from the graphics. They slate games we like because they are not "reactive enough" or have poor graphics. We just don't care about that stuff to the point of perfection. If it's playable and keeps us entertained, that's good enough.

What games do you like, what do you like about them? What ages are they suitable for (Thor's 9th birthday is coming up, hence the question...)

We don't have Sports Resort. I hope Thor won't be getting too drunk, though

Mercury Meltdown is fun. You have a blob of mercury that you have to direct through a series of mazes with gates and trap doors and things like that. Control is by tilting the remote like you are holding the actual maze in your hand. If the mercury blob drops off the edge of the maze, you lose.

Probably Wii bowling and golf. I don't have a Wii, but my brother does. Every now and then, I go over to his place and we play for a few hours. Funny thing is, I'm great at Wii golf although I've never played REAL golf in my life.

I loves my Wii.

Super Mario Kart, definitely ... have been playing it for not quite a year, still don't have all the tracks finished (got very excited when I opened the mirrors).

Enjoy going online and racing against the world, usually with friends ... we do a conference call so we can talk to each other while we're racing, help each other.

I also like Wii Sports Resort. My favorites are the Ping Pong and the Swordfight. I can't get the hang of Frisbee Dog, and sightseeing on the plan is cool ... it's the same island as in Wii Fit, so you get to see more of what's around you. I like the kayaking and the wakeboarding too. Lots of game variety there.
