Preserving history (and a thank you)
The current version of Cellar went online in January 2001, if I'm not mistaken...I've been a member since then...number 18, as a matter of fact.
Last night, I was preparing to post a blog about 9/11, and I remembered what I wrote that day right here on Cellar...and so I went back and found it, and used that as my post. It was amazing to read back to the events and emotions of that day from not only here in the US, but our friends from around the world. I encourage you all to go back through some of those threads...they are a slice of what a bunch of nerds with nothing better to do than fuck around on computers were thinking and feeling when all hell broke loose that day. Seriously...it's amazing to see that all preserved...it's my history, your history...OUR history. Tony, you have done a great service with this board over the years...I thank you (and the financial contributors) for keeping it alive, and am proud to call you and many others on here friends. |

I'm proud to have you as a member all these years, and to provide this thing where you can go back and see your own history. I'm gonna go back and look at some of the threads now, good idea!
