Human Ancestors Had Sex with Now-extinct Relatives

Story Here

Quote:
By IBTimes Staff Reporter | September 7, 2011 7:15 AM EDT
A new research indicates that our ancient human ancestors may have bred with a now extinct species of humanity before migrating from Kentucky to Alabama.

Modern humans who are known as Homosapiens are now the only surviving species of humanity while other who once roamed the Earth, made their way out of Kentucky before humans did.

Current evidence shows they had previously migrated north out of Texas and Arizona.

Proves what we already know.

Humans will pretty much have sex with anything that moves.

Or doesn't.

I can't help it, but I'm curious...

Which one was on the receiving end? Guy? Horse?

~ Paleontology and genetics are now pretty much merged.

~ The "need" for a "missing link" fossil record - a concept pretty much devastated by science before genetics - is now completely dead, as genetics reveals the evolutionary map of humanity.

I think its important that we vote for science this time around. Perry is right out.

Huff Post
On Thursday, in New Hampshire, Perry told a woman and her son that he regarded evolution as "a theory that's out there" and one that's "got some gaps in it.”

Let's be fair and balanced, ok?

Here's how Fox News reports the same story.

The headline:
Quote:
Video: Mom Pushes Kid to Ask Perry About Evolution
I'm amused to see that comments for the page with the story are closed. With none. Why wouldn't Fox want a lively, fair and balanced discussion on this item?

@Griff

HUZZAH! I would fall down on my knees and give thanks if we voted for science this time around. If only.

We need t-shirts: Vote for SCIENCE. Do NOT vote for magic tricks, sleights of hand, fairies, unicorns, or their ilk.

Or something along those lines.

The "story was really well written though:

I concede the point.

It's a distinction without much difference though, because so much of what I hear from that outfit is opinion, even when they do have "News" on the masthead / banner. I read it as much as I can, trying to gather as much information as I can. The news/opinion ratio is less than 1.

Here's another link that discusses the same story.

http://politics.blogs.foxnews.com/20...s-teaches-both

interestingly, though the page indicates over 5800 comments, none are visible.

Do you find opinion in that story?

Here's how CBS News covered it (just to pick an easy target on the other side of the spectrum).
