Questions we're still thinking over

I needed to deliver an important document to a client across town, but our network was down and the easiest thing do was have my able assistant drop off a copy of it on his way home.

Pressed to meet my deadline, I burned the 2.243 megabyte file onto a CD, handed it to the inscrutable Asok and sent him home early.

Asok left my office at 3:49 pm, and arrived at the client's office at 5:04 pm sharp.

Using the above information, what is the baud rate of Asok?

It breaks down to 3987 bps, if my calculations are correct.

You need to fire Asok.

9-track

"You should never underestimate the bandwidth of a station wagon full of 9-track tape." -- Cliche

Or a 40-gig drive, on a nine hour trip to Ohio, in our case. That's 9.8 Mbps -- do we get fired?

How do you pronounce 'Tsk'?

mw451's threadhead typo got me thinking: how does one pronounce 'Tsk', or 'Tisk', or 'Tsk Tsk Tsk'?

You see it all the time, in novels sometimes, but usually in the comics section of the paper.

Have you ever actually heard anyone say 'Tisk, Tisk, Tisk'?

I think it means the sound made when you clench your teeth, lips slightly parted, press your tongue forward then pull back quickly with a slight sucking action, to make that sound, over and over and overrrrr....

oh shit gotta go -- xcuse meeee/////
