This clip is all over the sports pages. I've never watched the LFL, and it's obviously a gimmick, but you can't doubt from watching this that they take it seriously. When you consider the abbreviated protective equipment these women wear, this takes more guts than doing a similar hit with full NFL padding.

I can't find it right now, but my team, the Rat City Rollergirls had an event once and the slogan was "I got my ass kicked by a Roller Girl". Like a special T-Shirt (and an ice pack I guess) for a donation.

Seriously? This is a full contact sport. I've seen some monster hits. These girls play for keeps. You should definitely check them out.
