Another idea I had that is now reality. I was actually thinking of all of the price club cards, but this might actually serve. The only question I have is, if you select the card you intend to use by hitting a button, then give it to the waiter, and he accidentally touches the button, would it change to the wrong card? Oh, and can it become a shopper club card? I will have to look deeper into this. I love the idea.

I have gone past the technological fork in the road of my life, and I think using this thing would create more problems for me than it would solve.
Then again, the only cards I ever use are my Kohls card and my KrogerPlus card (the former a credit card and the latter a shoppers saving card)...and I don't even carry the Kroger card I just punch in my old phone number. Also, my smartphone is smarter than I am |

Hang on though, how does the outlet you are purchasing from know the Coin is yours and not stolen. You could have stolen the phone too, if that's the only security check. Or what if you're regularly somewhere without a signal?
I'd be interested if this spread like margarine and was everywhere within a few years, but at present I would have security issues with it.

Look at the bright side, you could load a bunch of stolen credit cards into that thing and not have to carry a pile around to try in different machines.

So by pushing that button they can charge your $50 lunch to each and every card in that thing? That's something you could easily overlook, especially if the bills go to different locations at different times.
The easier it is to use, the easier it is to rip you off.

Just another example of what has been discussed repeatedly. What was available even 20 years ago. And what was all but restricted from America by the so powerful Visa/MasterCard lobby.
Recent events in Target have finally forced the issue. Since everyone has long had too many cards with the least security possible. American credit card users are best Targets for thieves. |
