Sycamore Comes Clean
You know, I have been relatively honest with you peeps. So I have to tell you that part of what you have heard and read is the truth. I am addicted to the following items:
--Dr. Pepper --Caffeine-free Coke --Cigarettes --The Internet --Subway --All 3 Law & Order shows --Pizza As soon as I post this, I am going to feed several of these addictions, and have no intentions at this time of breaking the grips that these items have on me. Thank you. |

You are a funny guy. Not funny enough to have a nationwide radio show, but funny.

To respond to Zip:
Dr. Pepper: Greatest beverage ever created. Can't get it decaffeinated here in Philadelphia, which sucks total ass. (Thanks local Coke bottler...you fucking bastards!) (I had to decaffeinate myself 6 months ago...was having health issues related to the immense amount of caffeine I was ingesting on a daily.) CF Coke: The next best soda I can get. Cigarettes: Horrible habit. Hard to kick. (Just look through some of the old Manifestos as evidence.) I just like smoking...I like the taste and the way they make me feel. Quitting in the near future has not been ruled out though. Internet: This isn't as bad as it used to be. There would be days where I would spend 14-16 hours building Sycamoreland, eating pizza, and drinking Guinness. I would only venture out of my room to go to the bathroom. L&O: Dick Wolf is a genius. Great actors and characters. Good storylines. Nuff said. Pizza: I eat too many of the frozen variety. It's hard to find a good fresh pizza here in Philadelphia. I like a nice thin crust, which is nearly impossible to find here, other than Pizza Hut. When Rho and I go down to Baltimore, we pick up a to-go order from Ledo Pizza on occasion...best pizza I can get outside of St. Louis or Chicago. I've scaled back recently...gotta eat healthier. The majority of those habits are or could become bad. But I could have worse habits... Last edited by elSicomoro; 10-10-2003 at 10:24 PM. |

We have to arrange a marathon viewing of Oz. You will be amazed and astonished. And hooked. You either have a DVD player or one on the computer, right?

Y'know I finally did manage to quit smoking.
People always use to tell me that they just up and quit smoking one day. Didn't feel like it any more, they said. I figured they were full of shit. Until I just up and quit one day. Didn't feel like it anymore. I tried quitting cold turkey, on nicotine gum, altoids, whatever. It never worked. I wanted to quit, but at the same time, I still wanted to smoke (Yes, nonsmokers, this contradiction is very possible). I think that despite the overwhelming abundance of stuff out there for "helping you quit", for most people it really is a matter of just not wanting to any more. I still crave a smoke now and again. I suspect I always will. You'll quit in your own time. If you feel like it. |

Slang has offered to teach me to chew. I'm not sure if I'm quite ready to take him up on that one ... I'm not a really effective spitter. I can throw a pretty decent fastball, but I can't spit worth a darn.

I have 2 DVD players--computer and TV.
I've been watching Oz repeats since we got HBO. Caught the last few episodes of the final season too. Great show...some cast members look awfully familiar. ![]() |
