Predictions

Undertoad has made predictions in the past. I thought I'd go ahead and make my own.

Prediction: Scientists will discover that memories are stored in the DNA of our nerve cells.

After all, what better way is there to store information? Any other predictions are welcome to be included in this thread. :)

I think my previous predictions were all wrong, so this might not be my strong suit.

Juju will turn to organized religion for guidance...the Southern Baptists, of course. He will then begin to proselytize in a newly-reopened Juju's Place. Then, Sycamore will drive from Philadelphia to Fayetteville to beat Juju's ass.

I predict ...

Griff will win the predictions contest.

(I may have just gotten a line on a company that sells honest-to-goodness straightjackets. White canvas. Just like the old days. Just have to decide whether to part with the cash, or put it towards a new computer. Or a new pistol. And don't start, BUGZ, about Bruce's safes. I'd MUCH rather see them in his possession and enjoyment. I'm not wanting those contents any time soon, and I'm sure that's Bruce's plan as well.)

I'll just be over here ... passing out the tinfoil hats again.

You know, there's a gun show this weekend over at the Armory on the Boulevard...

I'm looking at .22 target pistols, actually. I need something that's cheap to shoot. Yeah, I know it's not sexy (fear not, my wish list includes a Sig 229 and a Baby Eagle) but it's something that i'd like to have. Punching paper is my stress reliever. (guess this should have gone into the coping thread) Everything else I have is pretty expensive to shoot.

Friend of a friend runs the Valley Forge Gun Show, so I go to those. Also the Phila Armory Show is run by Appalachian Promotions. Although they get some of the same vendors as the VF people, the show really isn't as good ... lots of trashy flea market stuff. (I go to their show at Lulu Temple every year, but only because it's close to my house and has decent parking).

I'll wait for Valley Forge is Sept 20-21 (next is dec 20-21, Just in time for that last minute Solstice/Christmas shopping).

I don't usually buy guns at gun shows, but I sure shop for them there ....

Is it better to shop at a gun show than a local place just because there are more choices?

A .22 ehh ,,,, I have 2 , an SW 22A and a Ruger single six . The Ruger is my fav , i found it at a pawn shop for $100 and a .22Mag cylinder at a local gun shop for $25 . Verrrrry accurate and safe
( the safe part is nice when i have to do the tunnel rat thing under truck and rail scales to clear out crawling and slithering critters with rat shot). I am wanting a Walther P22 , verry slick little pistol .

it is better to shop at gun shows for a few reasons ,

1) you can handle MANY different fire arms . If it don't fit your hand you generly can't hit any thing with it .

2) there is a generly a LARGE well of knolage at most of these shows ( tho you do have to sort out the bull shit ).

3) you can generly pick up killer bargens on used guns ( if you know what you are looking for ) .

4) you can some time talk the sellers down in the afternoon
( they don't want to have to put all the goodies away ).

Anny way good luck and good shopping

I predict the RIAA will be tried as a RICO early next year. The MPAA will wisely become silent and non-litigous. This RICO suit will also call attention to the DMCA's illegality, and it will be struck or toned down greatly by the end of 2004 or early 2005.

Sure would be nice wouldn't it....

Has anyone done any research or looking into the 'amnesty' program offered by RIAA?

Feeling brave enough to sign it?

I read that signing the confession would clear you with the RIAA but since they don't represent everyone, you could be sued by others. The confession could be used against you. I say clean your guns and wait.
