Unhappy For an official hello. . .

*clears throat*

"Hello."

Of course, now that I've found an interesting place to spend some time, I've got none left. (Somehow it seems quite natural that I would end up in someone's cellar somewhere along the line . . . nevermind ) I suppose it is better to have actual work to do at work, but really, I would rather slack off for awhile and get to know you folks a bit better. *laments*

So, rather than try to keep up with all of everything around the cellar, I'm going to keep an eye on the Home Base board whenever I've a few minutes, and perhaps my time will open up again.

(See there, I haven't been scared off, just busy.)

Till Later!

Yay, killing time!

Now, to hunt some down.

I'll be a regular one-shot-one-kill assassin, I tell you!

I love that book. Not as much as Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, but I love that book.

Wow. I'm feeling hungry. I wonder if I have any Cold Fusion or Interleague Play around here ...

I do believe I'll have to pick that one up. From the Amazon preview, it feels almost like a mix of my two favorites - the escapism of Maurice Sendak's Where the Wild Things Are (my all time favorite bestest book in all the world - I have read it to my son sooo many times that to this day, five years later, I still can recite it word-for-word), and a bit of the bizarre flavor I like in Shel Silverstein's stuff.

Throw in some of the "Alice" sensibilities, and that's as good a description as any.

`If you knew Time as well as I do,' said the Hatter, `you wouldn't talk about wasting IT. It's HIM.'

`I don't know what you mean,' said Alice.

`Of course you don't!' the Hatter said, tossing his head contemptuously. `I dare say you never even spoke to Time!'

`Perhaps not,' Alice cautiously replied: `but I know I have to beat time when I learn music.'

`Ah! that accounts for it,' said the Hatter. `He won't stand beating. Now, if you only kept on good terms with him, he'd do almost anything you liked with the clock. For instance, suppose it were nine o'clock in the morning, just time to begin lessons: you'd only have to whisper a hint to Time, and round goes the clock in a twinkling! Half-past one, time for dinner!'
