Quiche

I've been cleaning stuff up, sorting and tossing. I found a recipe scrawled on a piece of cardboard. (It was one of those I ran out of paper and had to write it down moments.)

12 strips of bacon

2 cups heavy cream

4 eggs

1/8 tsp nutmeg

1/2 tsp salt

1 cup swiss cheese, grated

1 pastry pie shell - braver cooks can make their own, store bought is okay.

Fry the bacon. Lay on crust. whip all other ingredients together.

Bake at 425°F for 35 minutes. Remove from oven, allow to cool and set for 10 minutes before serving.

Yummmmmmmm sounds good, but I'd have to modify the living daylights out of it to match the strict renal/diabetic diet...phooey!!!
